Napoli manager Rafael Benitez says his side are "only at 75%", but are ready to face Serie A leaders Roma on Friday.
Roma are top of the table after winning all of their seven games so far, scoring 20 and conceding just once.
But Napoli will replace them with a win in Rome, and Benitez said: "If we collect three points then we won't definitely win the Scudetto (title).
"If we don't win then we will just continue trying to get better. I'm very satisfied."
Former Napoli and Argentina forward Diego Maradona is expected to be in the crowd and has said he would like to coach his former club after Benitez.
The 52-year-old has not coached since he was sacked as Al Wasl boss last year.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "When Rafael Benitez leaves I would like to coach Napoli.
"There are coaching changes all over the place, from Spain to Italy to England to Russia, but some people are afraid of me. That's why I'm not coaching."
As a player, Maradona led Napoli to their only two Serie A titles in 1987 and 1990.
